CANYON LA SOFFIA is currently not accessible due to the restrictions imposed by the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park
Val Soffia absolutely represents the essence of Canyoning par excellence in Northern Italy, now known all over the world by gorge-goers for the grandeur of the environment and for the particular colors of the white rock and turquoise water. The depth and majesty of the canyon is impossible to perceive from the outside, only by entering this authentic journey to the center of the earth can you admire the sequence of incredible huge rooms where water flows abundantly in all seasons. The gorge is suitable for those who have already covered several canyons and have no problems autonomously tackling 40m abseils and long, very steep sections with no possibility of escape. The depth of the pools is very changeable also due to the gravel present upstream of the canyon.
Unfortunately, the weapons situation is not suitable for the route, partly due to the restrictions of the Belluno Dolomites Park which prohibit the use and placement of safe weapons, partly because by now it seems established that every person who owns a drill at home feel authorized to put a nail somewhere without having skills and without thinking that this natural cathedral that nature has given us must be preserved in the best way and that any modification by humans must be carefully considered.
